How ratings work

Anyone can rate a series from 1 to 10 without an account. One rating per browser per series; rating again replaces your previous score.

A vote is accepted only from a real visit to the series page — automated requests are rejected.

To keep a single household or office from moving a score, at most three browsers from the same network count towards a series' rating. Extra votes are kept but not counted.

Ratings marked “went to platform” come from viewers who clicked through to an app to watch the series in the last 30 days.

Average ratings are shown once a series has its first ratings; lists sorted by rating prefer series with more votes.

Popularity (the flame, 1–100) is a separate number and says nothing about quality. It shows how widely a series is followed compared with the rest of the catalog: 90 means it out-ranks about 90% of series, so roughly 1% of the catalog sits at each step.

It is built mainly from follower counts on the apps. Apps differ a lot in size, so each series is first compared with the other series on the same app. Smaller bonuses come from being on several apps, from discussion on Reddit and from ratings and Watch clicks on ReelSeries. It is recalculated every day when the catalog is updated.
