ReelSeries is a catalog: you can browse and rate series without an account. We collect as little as we can, and we don't sell personal data or use advertising trackers.
Without an account. A random browser ID in a cookie, so one browser gets one rating and one set of quick tags per series. A keyed hash of your network address (never the address itself), so one household or office can't move a rating. When you press Watch, we log which series and app, with the browser ID, the referring page and the browser type, to count clicks and spot abuse.
With an account. Your email (never shown publicly), the display name shown next to your reviews and ending notes, and sign-in sessions in a cookie. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your Google account ID, your email and your first name; we use the first name as your display name and receive nothing else — no password, no contacts.
Reviews and ending notes are public with your display name. Before they appear, an automated service (Anthropic's Claude) checks the text for spam and rule violations. Sign-in emails are sent through an email delivery provider.
Cookies. Only the ones the site needs: the browser ID, the sign-in session and, for a few minutes during Google sign-in, a security cookie.
Deleting your data. Write to the address on the Contact page from your account's email: we delete the account, its sessions and its Google link, and remove or anonymise its reviews and notes.
