Is GoodShort free?

Partly. GoodShort is free to download, the usual series opens with 9 or 10 free episodes, and the rest is paid with coins or a VIP plan.

Finishing a show for free is close to impossible here. Only 6 of the 2,950 GoodShort series in our catalog are free all the way through, which works out to 0.2%.

How many GoodShort episodes are free?

The median is 9 free episodes, and the paywall most often appears at episode 12, one episode later than on ReelShort, DramaBox, ShortMax or NetShort.

That later typical paywall hides a wide spread. Coins unlock specific episodes, and VIP lets you watch everything while it's active. GoodShort is unusually open about coin pack prices. The US App Store names each pack, checked October 22, 2026:

Those listed packs all work out to 100 coins per dollar. On the same list, Weekly VIP comes in at $5.99, $9.99 or $19.99, next to a weekly subscription at $19.99. Google Play's range is $0.99 to $299.99 per item.

What VIP includes, per GoodShort's Google Play listing: premium dramas free and without ads, offline downloads, 1080p, and daily check-in rewards that extend VIP. The terms add the fine print:

  • plans can renew weekly, monthly or yearly, and must be cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal;
  • there are no partial refunds if you cancel mid-cycle, though you keep access until the period ends;
  • coins have no cash value and can't be refunded or exchanged.

How many coins a single episode costs isn't published officially, and prices depend on your region and get changed often. Check what an episode costs in the app itself. GoodShort's website also sells coins and, as of October 22, 2026, advertises 10% extra value compared with buying in the app.

Legit ways to get more free GoodShort episodes

The free tier is paid for by ads, and your account keeps a separate Bonus balance next to the coins you buy. GoodShort's terms say the free version comes with advertising, and the wallet on its website lists Coins and Bonus as two lines.

Beyond that, the official pages are thin. Daily check-in rewards appear in the Google Play listing, but under VIP perks, as points that extend a membership. GoodShort doesn't publish what an ad or a check-in pays a non-subscriber, so open the rewards screen in the app to see what's on offer for your account.
