How to Cancel a GoodShort Subscription (October 2026)
GoodShort spells out cancellation for each way you can pay. Its terms say you can cancel at any time, but where you do it depends on how you subscribed: in the App Store, on Google Play, or on goodshort.com. All three are covered below, checked on October 22, 2026.
How to cancel GoodShort on iPhone or iPad
Cancel it in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then GoodShort, and Cancel Subscription. The GoodShort listing still describes an older iTunes & App Store path, so your screen may differ.
Timing matters here. GoodShort's App Store page says the renewal fee is taken 24 hours before the subscription expires, so cancel at least a day before the end date or you'll pay for one more period.
How to cancel GoodShort on Android
GoodShort's own Google Play listing gives the steps: open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select GoodShort and tap Cancel Subscription. Google's help page describes the same flow. The listing adds that auto-renewal has to be off 24 hours before the current period ends, and that canceling mid-period isn't allowed. Read together with the terms, that means the plan runs to the end of the period rather than stopping the day you cancel.
How to cancel on the website or a direct payment
If you subscribed on goodshort.com, turn off "Renew" on your subscription page there. That's what GoodShort's terms say for website subscriptions. The account menu on goodshort.com has a Manage Subscription link under Subscriptions. For subscriptions bought through an app store, the terms send you back to that store's settings to switch off auto-renew. Questions go to contact@goodshort.com, the address in the terms and on both store listings.
What happens after you cancel
You keep VIP until the date your paid period ends. The terms put it plainly: access continues until the paid-up subscription ceases, and there are no partial refunds or credits for stopping mid-cycle. The terms also say renewals can be weekly, monthly or yearly depending on the plan, while the US App Store lists only weekly VIP options. After that, you're back to free episodes and coins. Our guide to what's free on GoodShort has the numbers.
Can you get a refund?
Only in limited cases. GoodShort's terms say payments are non-refundable except where the terms provide otherwise, though GoodShort may offer a refund at its own discretion. Coins can't be refunded or exchanged for money.
For an App Store charge, Apple's route is reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in, say you'd like a refund, pick a reason and the GoodShort item, and submit. Apple warns that eligibility varies, and an answer usually takes 24 to 48 hours.
For Google Play, go to play.google.com, open Payments & subscriptions and then Budget & order history, find the order and choose Report a problem. Google may refund within 48 hours of purchase. After that it points you to the developer, here contact@goodshort.com.
FAQ
Will deleting GoodShort stop the charges?
No. Apple and Google both say an uninstalled app keeps its subscription. The terms describe deleting your GoodShort account only as losing access to the platform, not as a way to cancel.
How do I confirm VIP is canceled?
On iPhone, the GoodShort entry under Subscriptions shows an expiration date with no Cancel button. On Google Play, a canceled plan shows a Resubscribe option.
